Tom Hobbs has done it yet again. Trauma Junkie 3: The Blackout Blues did not disappoint me.  It has been a while since I’ve found that special author whose books I can’t put down.  Up until I started reading Tom’s books, there were only 2 authors whose series I followed.  The way I’m reading through the Trauma Junkie series, Tom has to finish book 6 and 7 fast.  I sure hope Brian and Brooklyn stay together throughout the series.  I won’t be happy if they divorce.

Trauma Junkie: Hypodermic Nightmare Bk 2 by Tom Hobbs

Trauma Junkie: Hypodermic Nightmare by Tom Hobbs was as great as the first book.  The characters from part one have returned.   The plot was even more intense when the main character, Brian, accidently pricked himself with a drug addict’s dirty needle.  I couldn’t put the book down.  I just had to know what happened to my hero. I truly love this series. I have started book 3 and already purchased book 4 & 5. 🙂

What a book!?

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review, and I am so happy that I did. I finished this book within two hours, not because it was short screen play—though it was—but because I needed to find out what happened next and I couldn’t wait.  The ending actually made me exclaim aloud and laugh.  I know I said it before, but Kenya Cagle’s books are must reads.

The Gates of Walhalla by Justen Forge

The Gates of Walhalla by Justen Forge is a well-written story about border patrol officers and drug dealers.   The characters are so developed that you forget that they are fictional characters.  You start to believe you are reading a biography of one of the patrol officers.  Not many authors can do this, so I am very impressed with Justen.  I recommend this book to all readers looking to escape their chaotic world for the day.

The Prophet: The Story of Nat Turner by Kenya Cagle

Kenya Cagle's Book Image 1 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The Prophet: The Story of Nat Turner was an inspiring and motivational screenplay. I have never read a screenplay before, so the format was a little weird in the beginning. But as soon as I got the hang of understanding it, I lost myself in the imagery the story created. This is a story I believe EVERYONE should read at least once.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games is a well-written, well thought out book. My kids and I loved reading about Katniss and Peeta then watching them on screen. Although the movies were great, the book is much better. You get a better understanding of what is going through Katniss’ head. A great read.
