Great Story!

I have read both Beyond the Eyes and Dark Spirits by Rebekkah Ford. I suggest reading both before picking up The Devil’s Third simply to understand how the characters got to where they are now. You have nothing to fear. All three books were fantastic. As the story progressed from book 1 to book 3, the characters grew as individuals. The story had several cool twists and moved along at a constant pace. Readers of all ages will enjoy this series.

Fractured Hearts (Shattered Lives, Book Three) by Rissa Blakeley

Awesome!

I can only say,  Rissa Blakeley has done it again. Her Shattered Lives series is actually a zombie romance. I always wondered how that would work. Now I know, and let me tell you, it works FANTASTICALLY.  The series begins with Broken Dreams. A great title, once you read the story you would understand why. In fact, I have yet to come across books with better titles that reflects what is inside the covers. The second book in the series is Awakened Desires. I have one word to describe this book. Tissues.  Just release is book three, Fractured Hearts. If you think book two made you cry, you will have to fortify yourself before reading this book. I loved it, but I also questioned the path Rissa has taken with her characters. Nevertheless, this series is one that keeps getting better with each installment. I am fearful, but eager to read Rissa’s next book.

Great Part Two

Awakened Desire is the second installment to the Shattered Lives Series by Rissa Blakeley. This book was just as great as the first installment. It will make you laugh. It will make you cry. It will make you want to strangle Rissa. J  But above all, it will make you come back for more. I look forward to reading the next installment.

Fantastic Read!

Rissa Blakeley definitely knows how to pull your strings. She has created a story that will have you wanting to jump into the book and strangle certain characters.  I know I did. This story has the perfect blend of action, drama and zombies. At times, I found it a little slow, but those parts were few, and the story is so well developed and satisfying that it really didn’t matter.  I can’t imagine how any of the issues between the characters will be resolved, but I will be following along to find out.

Blake’s Miserable Life: Without Her by Rudy Ross

Perfect Erotica

Even though I have read a few to aid me in understanding the genre, I am not an erotica romance reader.  I am a “one woman to one man” ratio type of girl. I cannot express how surprised I was when I read Blake’s Miserable Life Without Her by Rudy Ross. This book was more my style. I enjoyed reading how the main character evolved and discovered himself while he met and dated different women.  The love scenes were hot and detailed and still a one on one. At least now I know it can be done and be successful.  My only negative comment would be the ending. I feel the ending was too abrupt.  Otherwise, for me, this was the perfect erotica.

To Want The School Teacher by Lisa Day

Unique and Refreshing

This is the second book I have read written by Lisa Day. Her stories are unique for sure. One has to have an open mind to truly enjoy them. In To Want The School Teacher, the events that take place may offend some, but only because they refuse to accept the story for what it is—a fictional creation for entertainment. All romances are. Having said that, I enjoyed this quick read and recommend it to those open-minded readers looking for something unique and refreshing.

Pretty Good

The Offer by Jayne Blue is about a tough as nails, smart-mouth young woman down on her luck who decides to become a high-end call girl. I love Jayne’s style of writing. The story was perfectly paced and was not bombarded with sex like other eroticas, which is one of the reasons why I do not read them. This book had a real storyline that a reader can get into. A definite good book to read.

A Brand New Address (INTERVENUS Book 1) by Kathleen Rowland

I am picky with the books I choose to read, meaning I normally read horrors, paranormals, romance, and the occasional scifi.  Therefore, I was not sure if I would like a coming of age book.  However, after reading a few pages of A Brand New Address, I was sucked into the storyline. Why? Kathleen Rowland—masterful storyteller that she is—included world disaster, futuristic elements, space traveling, mystery and adventure into her plot. I was sold!  Now I look forward to reading the next two installments. I highly recommend this story for all ages.

The William S. Club by Riley Banks

The William S. Club was not what I expected. I was not sure I would even like it. But as I continued to read, I found that I could not put it down. The need to know what came next kept me reading. I love books that I have to read while on the treadmill. The plot twist in the end came out of left field, but it did not take away from the book. To mention what it was would give away the story, so you will have to read the book to understand what I mean. The characters were well fleshed out. The story was rich in detail.  The William S. Club is an excellent book and deserves every star I gave it.

Whet Appetites Of Virtual Strangers by Elaine Shuel

Elaine Shuels' Book Image

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Whet Appetites is an easy, short, and entertaining read. Elaine Shuel has the courage to write what women fantasize about. Who wouldn’t enjoy being beautiful and desired by a man? Or three? I’m sure every woman has toyed with the idea of having a sexual encounter in a public place. Yes, the prim and proper ‘nice’ girls also, even if it is only in their dreams. The reviewer who gave this book a one star needs to wake up.  Why should the author be blamed for the reviewer’s nephew’s desire to read erotica. This individual should have a talk with her nephew and put the blame where it needs to be. Don’t go around bashing well-written stories simply because it’s not your thing and then say it’s what the author is looking for. Really? Act your age and let people be themselves. I think this short story was fun and worth the read!
